Huh, vielä ehtii! SPR:n vuosittainen Nälkäpäiväkeräys jatkuu vielä tänään ja huomenna. Me lähdemme pikku-An kanssa nostamaan rahaa pankkiautomaatilta ja etsimään lipasta.
Perjantaista ja keräyksestä tulikin mieleeni iso-An työpaikalla Lontoossa aina silloin tällöin järjestettävä hyväntekeväisyystempaus. Kyseisinä perjantaina saa pukeutua muuhun kuin pukuun minimissään kahden punnan lahjoitusta vastaan. Keräyskohde vaihtelee, viimeksi se taisi olla syöpälasten hyväksi. Mielestäni loistava idea! Suomessa en ole kuullut vastaavasta, kuka ottaisi tuodakseen tavan myös tänne?
It's not too late! Annual Operation Hunger Day collection arranged by the Finnish Red Cross is still running today and tomorrow. AJ and I will take a walk to the nearest ATM and find a box to make a donation.
Friday and collection reminded me of the collections arranged at Mr A's workplace in London. Certain Fridays the employees may dress casually by making a donation of minimum two pounds. The charity organization differs from time to time, last one was children with cancer, if I remember correctly. Great idea! I have not heard of similar in Finland, who would bring this practice to us Finns, too?
