Askartelut pikku-An kanssa on jäänyt tältä viikolta (yhtenä tekosyynä mainittakoon aurinkoiset ilmat ja niistä nauttiminen ulkona), joten perjantain taideanti tulee Lontoon Photographers' Gallerystä - tai sen ulkopuolelta, Home Truths: Motherhood, Photography & Identity -näyttelyssä kun ei saanut kuvata.
Todella liikuttava (vai olenko vaan raskaushormoneineni tällä hetkellä herkistynyt kaikelle mahdolliselle?), todentuntuinen ja erilainen näyttely äitiydestä. Mukana oli muuten myös suomalaisen valokuvaajan töitä: Elina Brotheruksen koskettava kuvasarja hänen vuosikausia kestäneistä, ja lopulta kuitenkin tuloksettomista, keinohedelmöityshoidoistaan. Kuten niin monet muutkin Lontoon museoista ja gallerioista, tämäkin on ilmainen ja ihan Oxford Circuksen vieressä.
We did not do any kind of art projects this week with AJ (one of the excuses being too sunny weather to stay inside), so this Friday's art offering is from The Photographers' Gallery here in London - or actually outside it, because it was not allowed to take pictures in the Home Truths: Motherhood, Photography & Identity exhibition.
Extremely touching (or is it just me and my pregnancy hormones?), serious and different exhibition about motherhood. One of the artists is by the way Finnish Elina Brotherus, her picture series illustrate her self during the many years of failed IVF treatments. Like so many other museums and galleries in London, also this one offers free admission and is located right next to Oxford Circus.
